Mr. Gadget. I did not get this tag recently or by accident. I have earned it over many, many years.

I have an agreement with my wife. If it runs on batteries or plugs in, I select the product and if it doesn’t, she selects the product. From computers, to kitchen gadgets, to auto gadgets, to cameras, I have nurtured more than a casual understanding.

My latest is in the SLR market. My favorite is the Nikon 5000. 12 MB, HD video and an adjustable viewfinder for under $1000.

For auto gadgets, my passion is the portable GPS. I like Garmin, although I am sure others are good. I am on my second Garmin, with great results. With the first, I was able to track speed and altitude in a 757. They seemed to have detuned them, so that the new generation cannot do that. I wonder why. LOL.

Of course, I am partial to HP computers. I have helped people with all types of computers, but all things being equal, I would pick HP. It helps that I work at HP of course.

Enough for now. Let me know if there is a type of gadget for which you would like guidence.
